Its the perfect mesh of sultry and badass. The downtempo beats add a floating and dreamlike feel which fit perfectly with the lyrics.
There honestly hasn’t been anything that the 19 year old Brit has released that I haven’t liked but if you’re looking for more, I suggest George and Paperbacks and of course the first song of Arlo’s that someone put me on to - Cola. From her EPs Sophie and Super Sad Generation, respectively.

If I ever meet Londrelle, I need to thank him for continuously putting out gems with such uplifting and affirming messages. Both his voice and the message he delivers are super soothing and presented in more of a spoken word and meditative fashion.

Into Nirvana - Grimm Lynn

Continuing the theme of ethereal and dreamy tunes this week with this selection. The combination of Hadiya George’s vocals and Grimm’s melodic rap create a great example of the new age of Neo-soul.
Cut Me - Moses Sumney

It starts out with a really simple guitar line but then the first few words that Moses croons are chill eliciting. This single runs in a slightly different direction than his past projects but I personally love it. Also his falsetto! The entire way this song is architected is worthy of appreciation.
Be on the look out for this double album græ which will be released later this year.

It’s not a recent release but when building the list for this week, after I decided Cut Me was going to be included, I knew I had to also include this Gary Clark Jr. track because I love it for similar reasons I was drawn to Cut Me. The guitar line, the falsetto, and then the guitar solo and the breakdown at the end. This is one of (many) of my favorite tracks of all time.
